It is both a pleasure and honor for me to be the founding Headmaster of Mzuzu Academy. Having spent over 30 years as an educator, both as a teacher and an administrator, I know the impact a quality education can have on a child’s life.
What makes Mzuzu Academy so unique is that we strive to provide a ‘whole’ education. We believe it is important to develop the intellectual, emotional and moral capacities of young children. Describing a school is a very difficult thing to do but at MA we are caring and nurturing, we strive for excellence, we are always positive and approach things in a dynamic way. We are an inclusive school and expect everybody involved in the school to play a major part in our continued efforts to improve.
Our pupils are the most important element of the school, and their education in the widest possible sense, is at the centre of everything that we do. Whilst high academic standards are important other things such as respect, behavior, and involvement in the wider community and extra curricula activities are all equally valued.
